Major Minnesota Law Enforcement Groups Endorse Erik Paulsen

Fraternal Order of Police and Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association Offer Endorsement

Eden Prairie, MN – Two major law enforcement organizations – the Fraternal Order of Police and the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association – endorsed Congressman Erik Paulsen today for re-election in Minnesota’s Third Congressional District.

“Cops on the street and our law enforcement community put their lives on the line every day to keep up safe,” said Paulsen. “I’m proud to have earned their support.”

In announcing their endorsement, the Fraternal Order of Police called Congressman Paulsen “a consummate supporter of the Fraternal Order of Police” and “a champion of law enforcement issues” in Congress.

Paulsen is a member of the Congressional Law Enforcement Caucus and has worked closely with law enforcement to combat sex trafficking. Paulsen has authored or cosponsored 7 pieces of anti-trafficking legislation that have passed the House. These bipartisan bills protect victims of trafficking, increase penalties for traffickers and johns, target websites that advertise trafficked victims, and improve coordination between law enforcement, NGOs, and the federal government.
