Third Major Law Enforcement Group Backs Paulsen

Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis Endorses Erik Paulsen

Eden Prairie, MN – The Police Officers Federation of Minnesota has endorsed Congressman Erik Paulsen for re-election in Minnesota’s Third Congressional District. The endorsement follows the Fraternal Order of Police and Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association who have also endorsed Paulsen.

“I am proud to have the support of some of our finest first responders,” said Paulsen. “I will continue to work to with law enforcement to make sure our communities remain safe and great places to raise families.”

The Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis is the largest non-affiliated law enforcement union in Minnesota representing over 800 rank and file police officers.

Paulsen is a member of the Congressional Law Enforcement Caucus and has worked closely with law enforcement to combat sex trafficking. Paulsen has authored or cosponsored 7 pieces of anti-trafficking legislation that have passed the House. These bipartisan bills protect victims of trafficking, increase penalties for traffickers and johns, target websites that advertise trafficked victims, and improve coordination between law enforcement, NGOs, and the federal government.
